Description
Experience the wonder of pure organic khadi from Magan Sangrahalaya Samiti. Light, soft handspun khadi is a wonder fabric that is cool in summer, and warm in winter. Brought alive with vegetable dye and fruit extract prints, khadi is the ultimate eco and skin-friendly fabric.
These stoles are made with 100% organic cotton yarn comprising the weft, and 100% non-violent silk in the warp. The cotton is grown by a select group of farmers in the Samudrapur tehsil of Wardha district in Maharashtra. The non-violent silk is sourced from spinners who ensure that the silkworm continues its magical conversion into a butterfly, after which the cocoons are spun into fine silk yarn.
Freshly plucked leaves are smeared with paste made from fermented jaggery and old iron extract. The soft leaf slowly stiffens, and the artisan prints 200 motifs using a single leaf. Our designers block print the leaf motif on stoles in a stunning medley of patterns and colours. Seasonal and evergreen leaves are used in the design of our exquisite khadi stoles ‘Leaves in the Wind’ collection.
We call this God’s Block. Every season we see variety in the leaves. The very same plant gives us leaves of different sizes and shapes. Each leaf is unique. The play of light and dark shades, the delicate imprints, soft and sharply defined. The delicate lines on each print mirror the life lines on each life. There is divinity in these designs. Captured with wonder on each stole made.
